League Terms & Conditions

  • Entry is open to any registered PASA SSA member
  • All entrants agree that their participation in this competition is subject to these terms and conditions
  • Competition jumps may only be performed at an approved PASA dropzone (or boogie). Waivers may be given in exceptional circumstances, but only by prior arrangement.
  • The competition period will run from 01 October 2019 until the final submission deadline published for each SASL discipline. This deadline will be published at least one month before the final draw is announced.
  • By entering the league, you agree to receive future correspondence from the SASL league regarding draws and related news.
  • By uploading footage onto the website the competitor gives the SASL the right to use it as they see fit.
  • For future unforeseen circumstances the SASL reserves the right to amend competition rules at any time. Competitors will be informed of any such changes timeously.
  • By registering for the league it is deemed that you have read and understood these rules as well as the discipline specific rules.
  • The main prizes will be individual prizes at the end of the league and the winners will be announced after the completion of the league (for that discipline).
  • Monthly prizes may also be awarded to that month's competition round winners.
  • The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Prizes not claimed within three months will be forfeited.
  • Prizes are not redeemable for cash and may not be exchanged by a competitor or transferred by the winners.
  • The SASL, SASL organizers and the SASL Committee will not be held responsible or liable for any injury, expense, death, inconvenience, law suit, divorce or anything else arising out of SASL activities, the league, jumps or related events.

Data Protection Notice

  • SASL is run by volunteers, Claire King and Dirk Venter from the Namespace Technologies offices at 8 Klipplaat Drive, Buurendal, Edenvale, South Africa.
  • You can contact either of us regarding SASL data protection on game_on@skyleague.co.za.
  • In order to compete participate in SASL, you must register on the skyleague.co.za website.
  • We collect, process and store the following information on every registered user, for the Legitimate Interest of being able to run SASL for its primary purpose, as advertised: a weighting-driven sporting competition with online registration, submissions and results.
Information Used For
First Name: To identify you as a jumper and verify submitted information as it pertains to the league rules
Surname: To identify you as a jumper and verify submitted information as it pertains to the league rules
Email address: To communicate with you, regarding SASL and SASL administration only (prizes, draws, trouble with your footage, etc.).
Home drop zone: To identify the number of teams and participants from each drop zone, to acknowledge their participation and support and to assign representatives and assistance for all participants at their own drop zone.
Telephone Number: To communicate with you, regarding SASL and SASL administration only (prizes, draws, resubmission requests, etc.).
PASA No: To verify you are a paid-up PASA member, as required by SASL rules.
Number of Jumps: To calculate your individual weighting.
Hours of Tunnel Time: To calculate your individual weighting.
  • We will keep your data for the legitimate purpose of league results history until SASL is shut down. This assists you with your participation in further seasons and is required to display the leader boards of past results, which is one of the purposes of the SASL website. No sensitive data is collected stored or displayed.
  • You may request that your personal data be removed from the site by emailing game_on@sasl.co.za. This will prevent you from being able to participate in SASL and your historic performances and leader board slots will be replaced with placeholders so that other participants’ relative results are not affected.
  • We don’t share your data with any third parties, except if needed for direct SASL purposes, such for a sponsor to deliver your prize.
  • You, the registered participant, hold the following rights with regard to privacy of information and can exercise them by contacting us on the contact details listed above.
  • Right to be informed: Above you can see what data we collect, how we use it, and for how long. You are welcome to contact with any concerns or questions or to request to be removed from the SASL system entirely.
  • Right of access: You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold on you.
  • Right of rectification: You have the right to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Right to be forgotten: You can ask for the data we hold on you to be erased from our records.
  • Right of portability: You can request that we transfer any data that we hold on you to another company.
  • Right to restrict processing: You can request that we limit the way we use your personal data. Because we only store data needed to carry out the SASL purpose, this may result in you being unable to participate in SASL.
  • Right to object: You have the right to challenge certain types of processing.
  • Right related to review automated decision-making: You can request a review of automated processing if you believe we are not following the rules.
  • You should also remind individuals that they are free to exercise their rights and explain how they can do this.
